The Blood of Jesus | The Power That Is In It

Beloved, I am very thankful for all of you and I am happy to share with you what is the power in the blood of Jesus. As I believed by faith... God has sent beautiful souls from many nations across the world to hear what I am teaching. I LOVE YOU DEARLY. Today I want to share a message that falls in line with the videos we have been watching together from the past couple of days--but we are going to go into detail about an aspect of "the cross" that you most likely have never heard before. If you have been studying your Bibles', then you know certain bits of information given in the Word of God that Jesus' life and death were quite extraordinary. Our precious Lord Jesus was so humble that HE would often drop to HIS knees and wash peoples' feet if they needed HIM to, even if it left blood on Jesus' hands. Can you ever imagine what a wonderful friend HE must have been? OH DO I LOVE HIM SO!!!

If you have studied the teachings of Jesus in the Bible and learned about the blood of Jesus, then you know "Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins." You hear that everywhere. Most people in the world have heard that phrase at some point in their lives'. Now what I want to do right now is reveal to you just how violent HIS death was. Jesus shed HIS blood and became the sacrifice that all of us needed in order for us to be living life today.

Have you ever been in school, or at the beach, or maybe out at a club--and seen somebody get beat up by a bigger guy. Let's say one of the nerds in school got punched in the face by a bully... while everyone just stood around and watched. We have all been through that in life. All we could think was, "I probably should do something but I don't really want to rock the boat." Not to mention you didn't want to get beat up either. lol It was that way when people were watching Jesus shed His blood too. People of Jewish descent did not want want to speak up for Him because they were afraid of being beaten up as well.

Remember how you felt sorry for the kid that got beat up? You saw his face bloodied, and you knew he was in pain, but you figured that once he got home and put some ice on his face... that he would be okay.

Now I want you to picture this: The Biblical and Historical teachings of Jesus reveal to us that Jesus Christ, God's only Son, the bridge between God and Man was beaten up and bloodied so badly by the Romans, "that you could not tell that Jesus Christ was a human being any more." STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING THIS INSTANT AND PICTURE THIS IN THE FOREFRONT OF YOUR MIND. CAN YOU CONCEIVE IT? NO!!! THE HUMAN MIND CANNOT CONCEIVE HOW BRUTAL THE LASHINGS ACROSS HIS BACK WERE AND HOW THEY DISFIGURED HIS HUMAN FLESH. JESUS LOOKED LIKE A BLOODY DEFORMED ANIMAL. BLOOD WAS POURING OUT OF EVERY WOUND EVEN BEFORE JESUS GOT TO THE CROSS THAT HE WAS CRUCIFIED ON. JESUS WAS WHIPPED AND BEATEN WITH WHIPS AND CHAINS WITH SPIKED RAZOR-SHARP HEADS, ALONG WITH GROUPS OF PEOPLE THROWING ROCKS AT HIM. THEN THEY RIPPED OFF JESUS' ROBE AS HIS FLESH WOUNDS STUCK TO IT IN THE SAME WAY YOU RIP OFF A BANDAGE FULL OF BLOOD THAT IS COVERING A LACERATION. ARE TEARS BEGINNING TO FLOW DOWN YOUR FACE. GOOD!!! THEY SHOULD BE. (The pic above does not accurately depict what Jesus' blood-covered body of destruction looked like when Jesus was carrying his cross) This was as far as the human mind could go in describing the bloody event... As seen from the movie "The Passion of the Christ," a movie all about Jesus' life leading up to His crucifixion.

They bashed Jesus' bloody head in, ripped open Jesus' bloody back, they spit on Jesus and they mocked Jesus out loud. Then they took what the Bible calls "a crown of thorns" (thick and razor sharp) and stuck it into Jesus' open flesh all around the top of his bloody head, deep into Jesus' bloody scalp.

When a man was crucified in Biblical times, he was required to carry his cross with him in order for people to shame him. After Jesus experienced all of the previous traumas, they knocked Jesus down so hard that his bloody head hit the back of his cross and he almost went blind. Then they made Jesus get up, all the while shouting obscenities and calling Jesus the "King of the Jews." Keep in mind that a cross you were about to be hung on did not weigh what you are thinking. It was so heavy in relation to the man that he had to drag it at a snail's pace just to get it up the hill while he was dripping blood.

When the Romans finally got Jesus' bloody body up the hill and ready to lift him up on the cross to be crucified, someone took a spear and crushed Jesus' ribs ripping a huge bloody chunk of skin off of his body. Then Jesus was offered wine mixed with myrrh, a mild analgesic mixture. He refused to drink. Simon was ordered to place the patibulum on the ground and Jesus was quickly thrown backward with His bloody shoulders against the wood. The legionnaire felt for the depression at the front of the wrist. He then drove a heavy, square, wrought-iron nail through Jesus' wrist and deep into the wood as blood began pouring out. Quickly, he moved to the other side and repeated the action being careful not to pull Jesus' arms too tightly, but to allow some flexion and movement. The patibulum was then lifted into place at the top of the stipes and the titulus reading "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews" was nailed in place. Blood began to pour out of Jesus' hands.

The left foot of Jesus then pressed backward against the right foot of Jesus, and with both feet extended, toes down, a nail was driven through the arch of each, leaving the knees moderately flexed with blood beginning to pour out from his feet. Jesus was now crucified. As Jesus slowly sagged down with more weight on the nails in the wrists, excruciating pain shot through his bloody fingers and up the arms to explode in the brain--with the nails in the writs putting pressure on the median nerves. As Jesus pushed Himself upward to avoid this stretching torment, He placed His full weight on the nail through His bloody feet. Again there was the searing agony of the nail tearing through Jesus' nerves between the metatarsal bones of Jesus' feet.

At this point, as the arms fatigued, great waves of cramps swept over Jesus' muscles, knotting them in deep, relentless, throbbing pain. With these cramps came the inability for Jesus to push Himself upward. Hanging by his arms, the pectoral muscles were paralyzed and the intercostal muscles were unable to act. Air was drawn into the lungs, but because of loss of blood they could not be exhaled.

Then Jesus fights to raise Himself in order to get even one short gasp of breath. Finally, carbon dioxide builds up in the lungs and in the blood stream and the cramps partially subside. Spasmodically, Jesus is able to push Himself upward to exhale and bring in the life-giving oxygen. It was undoubtedly during these periods that He uttered the seven short sentences recorded:

The first, looking down at the Roman soldiers throwing dice for Jesus' seamless garment, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do."

The second, to the penitent thief, "Today thou shalt be with me in Paradise."

The third, looking down at the terrified, grief-stricken adolescent John -- the beloved Apostle -- he said, "Behold thy mother." Then, looking to Jesus' mother Mary, "Woman behold thy son."

The fourth cry was from the beginning of the 22nd Psalm, "My God, my God, why has thou forsaken me?"

Hours of limitless pain, cycles of twisting, joint-rending cramps, intermittent partial asphyxiation, exasperating loss of blood, searing pain where tissue is torn from His lacerated back as Jesus moves up and down against the rough timber. Then another agony begins...A terrible crushing pain deep in Jesus' chest as the pericardium slowly fills with serum and begins to compress the heart so the blood will not flow.

One remembers again the 22nd Psalm, the 14th verse: "I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels."

It is now almost over. The loss of tissue fluids has reached a critical level; the compressed heart is struggling to pump heavy, thick, sluggish blood into the tissue; the tortured lungs are making a frantic effort to gasp in small gulps of air. The markedly dehydrated tissues send their flood of stimuli to the brain.

Jesus gasps His fifth cry, "I thirst."

One remembers another verse from the prophetic 22nd Psalm: "My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou has brought me into the dust of death."

A sponge soaked in posca, the cheap, sour wine which is the staple drink of the Roman legionaries, is lifted to Jesus' lips. He apparently doesn't take any of the liquid. The body of Jesus is now in extremes, and He can feel the lack of blood and the chill of death creeping through His tissues. This realization brings out Jesus' sixth words, possibly little more than a tortured whisper, "It is finished."

His mission of atonement has completed. Finally Jesus can allow his body to die.

With one last surge of strength, Jesus once again presses His torn bloody feet against the nail, straightens His legs, takes a deeper breath, and utters His seventh and last attempt to cry, "Father! Into thy hands I commit my spirit.

As you have read this, and I hope tears are absolutely gushing like a river down the front of your face, I want you to realize the time-line of all of this. First of all, Jesus was nailed to the cross at approximately 9:00 in the morning. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH HE LOVES YOU? Your savior loved you so much that he held on struggling to breathe, while the blood of Jesus poured out of his every wound for so long that Jesus did not give up his last breath until 3:30 in the afternoon!!!

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son; that whosoever would believeth in him would not perish (die) but have everlasting life."-John 3:16

I hope this verse will take on new meaning for you now. Jesus did not just die for you, he suffered the most horrific blood curdling death of any man in history. God had to kill his very own son to take the place of what you did last night. When you lied to your mom last night... you should of had to DIE for it. When you got drunk and had sex with your neighbor last night... you should of had to DIE for it. When you cheated on your husband or wife last night... you should of had to DIE for it.

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the father except through me." Today's lesson has hopefully taught you why. When you understand the sacrifice, then you see for yourself why there is SO MUCH POWER IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS!!! WATERED-DOWN, ITCHING EARS, AMERICAN CHRISTIANITY HAS FORGOTTEN THE POINT OF THE CROSS IN THE FIRST PLACE. Repent! Jesus loves you! That is why there is
so much power in the blood of Jesus.

Mega Church anyone ? My two experiences...

The concept of a mega church is one that can be conceived in either one or two ways. You can say that a church with over 10,000 members is more like a place of business that has been built with questionable practices like preaching all about money and sowing seeds in order to purposely deceive the flock so the numbers will increase. Or, you can look at a mega church by maintaining that it is a church where God's blessings flow throughout; so from the pastor to the congregation there is obedience, sacrifice, and continued study of the true Word of God. Then God continues to multiply the mega church so people can be spiritually fed in large numbers. However you want to look at it is your own perception. Both mega church cases can be argued.

It is important to note that a mega church with over 10,000 is not a sin in and of itself. There are some very large mega churches in America who do preach God's Word in spirit and in truth. I have been to a few. As a matter of fact, I would personally like to recommend this mega church to you if you are ever near North Georgia. Then I will give an example of a mega church where they might as well have been watching a movie about "under-water basket weaving!"

The mega church that I recommend is called, "Free Chapel." It is headed by Senior Pastor Jentezen Franklin, located in Gainesville, Ga. Jentezen is a wonderful man of God, dedicated to serving his fellow man and always giving credit to Almighty God when referring to his calling in life. He teaches sound doctrine, with an emphasis on the importance of fasting. In my first experience at this mega church Free Chapel, my partner and I got there about 10 minutes early. We came through the parking lot of the mega church, and I noticed many police officers directing traffic and waving to the people. We got to the front door of the mega church, and I noticed that every single person who greeted us (male or female) had a huge smile on their face. IT WAS VERY COMFORTING DUE TO THE FACT THAT I WAS REALLY CHECKING THIS MEGA CHURCH OUT TO SEE IF IT WAS ONE OF THE LUKEWARM CHURCHES OF "THE LAST DAYS" THAT GOD WARNED US ABOUT IN REVELATIONS.

As we walked into the main mega church auditorium, I knew there was a strong presence of the Holy Spirit. The church is beautiful. However, when you pay attention to detail it is very evident that Jentezen did not want his mega church sanctuary to appear overly extravagant. As the mega church service began with praise and worship music, the entire place seemed "ALIVE." People were raising hands and singing. There was a representation from all tribes and nations. Black, white, short, tall, this mega church Free Chapel had it all. As I was singing, goosebumps overtook me and tears flowed down my face. I began praying in tongues, shouting at the top of my lungs in the mega church, and giving thanks to God for allowing me to attend such a special place. I loved being in the presence of the Lord so strongly. Jentezen's sermon was phenomenal. He talked about how we all come to a place called "THREE DAYS FROM NOWHERE" when our lives' have completely fallen apart and God in HIS infinite mercy lifts us back up. It was such a powerful word. When we left the mega church, smiles were everywhere. People went out of their way to make every mega church visitor feel like they were right at home. There was absolutely nothing about this mega church that seemed "artificial." It truly was a blessing from God.

Now my second experience with a mega church was quite the opposite from the first one. What a joke, and I mean that literally. The next mega church I attended was called: North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Ga. North Point mega church boasts of having well over 15,000 people. They put an emphasis on "GROUPS" and liken their mega church structure to a man's house complete with "The Kitchen," "The Dining Room" and one or two other "room" type areas. Odd, I know.

The mega church is headed by Senior Pastor Andy Stanley, the son of renowned author and leader of another mega church, First Baptist Church of Atlanta, Dr. Charles Stanley. Being affiliated with First Baptist, I thought North Point mega church was going to be an uplifting experience... BOY WAS I EVER WRONG ON THAT ONE. God uses the term "lukewarm" to describe the latter day churches as neither hot nor cold. In other words, when you attend a lukewarm church in the last days it will remind you of urine. Suffice it to say that this mega church was a little bit yellow.

When my partner and I got to the mega church, I noticed the parking lot was full of people who looked like they were hung-over. As we got to the front door of the mega church, we were greeted with obvious fake smiles and people looking at the ground... you know the deal. It was almost like everyone in this mega church who greeted you had something to hide. Eerie. When the music of the mega church service started, I felt a heavy feeling in my heart and my stomach began to ache. In my spirit I spoke to the Lord and asked, "What is going on in this mega church?" He whispered, "I am not there." As I gazed around the mega church auditorium, people stared into space like zombies. No one was singing. It was crazy. I saw maybe three people in this monstrous mega church building who were actually WORSHIPING GOD. Now, normally when I am in church I am almost jumping up and down with praise because I love the Lord so much!!! In this mega church... I JUST STAYED IN MY SEAT AND WATCHED IN UTTER AMAZEMENT.

When the sermon began, I almost walked out. This mega church clown Andy Stanley actually had the audacity to begin a new series of books and dvds (that are sold in the bookstore at the back of the church) on the importance of "BALANCE." In other words... balance of your FINANCES!!! Hello, are we not in a recession? Who the #@%@ wants to hear a mega church sermon about MONEY now? Then this guy gets up there and puts on a mega church comedy routine that would make Will Ferrell jealous!!! It was a joke alright!!! In these desperate times Andy, people NEED TO HEAR ABOUT JESUS!!! They need to understand WHY HE was made a living sacrifice for us, so they can make it through these troubled times with their sites on HEAVENLY THINGS!!! Just because you run a mega church in 2009, it does not mean you should be teaching such apostasy.

This mega church was an absolute disgrace. To think that over 15,000 (and growing) people a week go to this mega church to GET FED... makes me want to ask God to blow up the mega church building when no one is in it. IF YOU BELONG TO THIS MEGA CHURCH PEOPLE, GET OUT!!! Read about what the Bible says when it comes to the "lukewarm" churches of the last days. GOD SAYS THAT HE WILL LITERALLY SPIT THEM OUT OF HIS MOUTH!!! YOUR MEGA CHURCH IS GOING TO BE SPIT OUT OF HIS MOUTH!!!

Test the spirits my friends. If you are in a mega church where money takes presidence over JESUS CHRIST, and is all about social groups and mega church meetings, then you need to move on to another place.

The Great Tribulation

Most blogs or articles that have been written about "The Tribulation" and "The Great Tribulation" set up arguments as to whether we will have a (Pre-Trib) or (Post-Trib) rapture of the Bride of Christ, or will there be any rapture at all? Writers of The Tribulation and The Great Tribulation like to bring up conflicting Bible verses where all they really do is inflict confusion and damage to the youth of the Body of Christ. I know the truth about the rapture... THERE WILL BE NO ARGUING ABOUT "PRE-TRIB" OR "POST TRIB" ON THIS SITE... Those of you who do operate under ignorance about The Tribulation and The Great Tribulation might want to study up on how things work with a Jewish wedding. Why does the groom arrive and sweep up the bride in secret? Have you ever studied Hebrew? NO! "God does not appoint HIS children to wrath."

To clarify, "The Tribulation" is a 7 year period called "The Time of Jacob's Trouble" by God that will be introduced when The Anti-Christ signs a 7 year peace treaty with Israel. 3 1/2 years later he is going to break that treaty to cause The Great Tribulation. It will be during this time that God will release his wrath upon the earth. (KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A PART OF ANY OF THIS IF YOU WOULD JUST HONOR GOD AND GIVE YOUR LIFE TO HIM.)

Let's say for argument's sake that you (in all of your intelligence) are going to face "The Great Tribulation." Now go to the Bible and read where Jesus says, "that not one life would be saved if HE did not return when HE did." That would represent his "GLORIOUS APPEARING" at the end of "The Great Tribulation." Let me paint the picture for you. After the rapture (whether you believe in it or not) the entire world is going to be in chaos. So, how do you want to die? Would you like to have your head cut off in a bloody massacre of anyone who professes to worship Jesus Christ during The Great Tribulation? Perhaps you would like a bullet in your head, or maybe two when a civil war breaks out in America during The Great Tribulation, and everyone is literally barely breathing because of food shortages, and the seizure of automobiles, along with every other form of transportation. A stabbing or mutilation from some crazy clown down the street during The Great Tribulation would be interesting. How about getting sucked up into a tornado when the violence of God's judgment engulfs the entire earth during The Great Tribulation? If you think those fires in California are something terrible now, just wait until God removes "the restrainer" when The Great Tribulation begins and lets THE GATES OF HELL take power on the earth with no restraint. Hmm... Sounds like fun doesn't it? Hangin' out waiting for The Antichrist's black force military police to come and get you during The Great Tribulation while you chew on each others flesh is not the way I would want to spend my days and nights. Go ahead and keep on believing that there will be no rapture. Then you will get your wish, and you can enjoy "The Great Tribulation" with all of your friends.

During the time of "The Great Tribulation" folks, there will not be any sunny days. I don't think you understand just how bad GOD'S JUDGMENT AND WRATH UPON THE EARTH is going to be during The Great Tribulation. If you are left behind when "The Great Tribulation" begins, then you my dear friend are going to DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH!!! Let's get creative. How about dying in The Great Tribulation by feeling nuclear, chemical, or biological fumes oozing down your throat and melting all of your insides. That is precisely what will happen during a well organized terrorist attack, targeting the US after WORLD WAR III begins, or perhaps before. A nice bomb targeting your city or neighborhood sounds like a fun way to die. You get the picture. Nobody knows when the rapture is going to happen... If we are still here when war breaks out then all we have to do is refer to Psalm 91. If you haven't read or studied that verse, then BREAK OUT YOUR BIBLE RIGHT NOW!!! That promise still stands today for those of us who belong to GOD.

Do you belong to GOD? Are you sure? You better be! You also better be looking up and expecting Jesus to come back for HIS bride, if you want to ESCAPE THE WRATH TO COME. Repent. For the Kingdom of Heaven draweth nigh, and avoid The Great Tribulation.
